Lent is coming tomorrow! I'm getting ready. I have a few things planned and one of them is to study The Lord's Prayer using a kit I got from Illustrated Faith. I love this company! The kit is called, "Thy Kingdom Come," and includes over 40 little cards, a free printable and printables you can buy to go with the set. You can use these in many different ways and this how I chose to use them.

They've broken the prayer into ten stanzas and spend four days on each stanza studying companion scriptures and being creative with the cards. There are blank cards for journaling decorated with pretty florals and some with sayings.
I chose to add them to a small spiral bound notebook. I'll add the cards as I go along, using pages in between for journaling and art.
I'm also planning on doing the challenge I shared the other day and I also purchased another kit I'll share tomorrow.
I haven't been creative with art in this way for over a year and it feels wonderful to be inspired to take this up again.

The repetition of this command is similar to the angelic voices singing of the holiness of God in Isaiah 6:3. The reason for the call is clear: God is the King of all the earth; He deserves our praise.

Because "my strength and my song: is such an unusual pairing of words, some have thought that the word translated "song" must mean "power," "fortress," or something similar. A person of faith may regard the living, omnipotent God as the reason for singing!

(Ahhh. That explains it! I don't know about you, but I always feel like God is a reason to sing!)

All of the universe is called to boast of the wonder of God. Verses 7 - 10 switches to the earth. All creatures below are to praise our great God.

This is my favorite Psalm. Psalm 33 is my second favorite. All the rest take third place, but I love them all. The Book of Psalms is my favorite book of the Bible. I find so much comfort there.

Let Us Give Thanks - Day 15

Before I start today's challenges I would like to say something about our recent election in the US.
No matter who is president in this country or any other country, God is King. If we can meet each other there, in God, and talk and comfort and listen, we can heal and make this country great again. We cannot do it through violence and rage at each other. We can only do it through the love of God.

May your day be blessed with holy things. Amen

The miraculous multiplication of the food demonstrated Jesus' deity, because only God can create. This is the only miracle of Jesus that is recorded in all four gospels.

Jesus could have caused everyone there to have the food placed in fromt of them miraculously instead He gave the loaves to the disciples and they distributed the loaves. This is the great method of gospel distribution the Christians will use until the Lord returns.

I used washi tape to make a pencil and wrote, "write this down," with a black #3 micron pen. The acorn image is from Google images (I do love acorns!!) and the verse was written with a brown micron pen. I then used a brown colored pencil to color over the section.

God's "name" stands for His revealed character. This is more than a label or a title. Daniel draws attention to two characteristics of God: His wisdom and power are His alone.

Principle: God should get the credit for what God does. People who understand grace are relaxed people because they understand where the glory belongs. Grace orientation produces a well-rounded person.
