John 6:11 (NIV)
Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks,
and distributed to those who were seated
as much as they wanted.
He did the same with the fish.

The miraculous multiplication of the food demonstrated Jesus' deity, because only God can create. This is the only miracle of Jesus that is recorded in all four gospels.

Jesus could have caused everyone there to have the food placed in fromt of them miraculously instead He gave the loaves to the disciples and they distributed the loaves. This is the great method of gospel distribution the Christians will use until the Lord returns.
