Challenge - Day 19
Start with God
Stay with God
End with God
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
Amplified Bible (AMP)
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding;
In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth
[removing obstacles that block your way].
Also read KJV, NKJV, CJB and GNV 1599 translations.
Bible Gateway Commentary
"Lean not on your own understanding," is more than failing to pray about decisions. It is more like being wise in one's own eyes, that is, believing that one can determine what is right and wrong without the guidance from God and His wisdom.
AMP translation explained "will make your path straight" quite nicely with "[removing obstacles that block your way].
If we pray about any decision we need to make, God will lead us in the right direction and clear the road for our success.
How wonderful it that?!!
God truly cares for us.
The Bible, His word, tells us in so many ways, in so many verses that this is true.
Trust Him.
Lean on Him.
Follow Him.
Gratitude
1. A God that guides me
2. Sunny Fall days
3. Clear paths
Phil 1:4
In all my prayers for all of you,
I always pray with joy.
Blessings,
Deborah
