"Taste for Truth," Is Overeating a Sin? Part 2
The second and third questions:
1. Are you lusting after food?
Lust = intense desire.
"It's not a, "Yes this great, but I can take it or leave it" feeling. It's an all out "I have to have it!" sensation."
"Lust distracts us. It shouts "God is not enough!"
(oh, that's not good)
"When we answer its voice, we never get enough to fill us up (Jeremiah 2:14). Our souls are in a constant state of turmoil (1Peter 2:11). Because we were created to worship God, He is the only One who can satisfy us."
For those hard days:
Read your Bible Verses
Renew your mind.
State your truth.
2. Are you willing to set boundaries, if necessary?
"..an unwillingness to set boundaries could be a sign that we're not willing to give everything up [for God]."
Gratitude
1. A willing heart
2. Boundaries
3. More rain!
2Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves,
but our competence comes from God.
Blessings,
Deborah
